Together with Philips, the consortium developed a clinically validated questionnaire and scoring algorithm designed to identify likely sleep problems.
The Philips SmartSleep Analyzer facilitates the personalised assessment of sleep problems and provides customised feedback and recommendations to help consumers take charge of their sleep health.
The decision support algorithm has also been deployed through Walgreens in the US by Philips. The service connects customers to a range of healthcare providers with whom Walgreens has partnered https://n-www.walgreens.com/findcare/partner/philips#!, including telemedicine companies, digital-enabled house call companies, and more traditional providers. Consumers access the service via a link on a Philips webpage that launches a web-based questionnaire, with results returned to the consumer via the webpage. Philips provides a problem list to the consumer along with personalised sleep tips and solution recommendations.
ASAC academic partner Flinders University developed the online decision support algorithm infrastructure and retains a separate instance currently utilised for pilot/field trials and/or research activities - with the potential to co-develop for enterprise implementation.
